Us and our Dogs
Need help tackling your wedding? Welcome! My name is Sarah and my husband’s name is Jacom (said like Jacob, but with an M). We are both Idaho natives who are ready to help you navigate the wedding industry and get the most out of your wedding day! We own Big Day Decor, and our photography company Sarah Stacey Photography. To say we’ve been to a wedding or two would be an understatement, but we love it! We’re always coming up with new ideas to serve our clients best!
Jacom & Sarah
Jacom is the builder and muscle of our operation. Almost anything you see in our shop was something he built. I am the supervisor so I stand around and look pretty… just kidding. I handle pretty much everything else. In our spare time Jacom loves rock climbing, wake boarding, and skiing during the winter months and I go along for the ride! We have two dogs, Maverick and Mollie, two cats Mia and Maddie, and a bunch of chickens.

Jacom and I got married in 2017 and I asked him to build this backdrop for me. It was actually the first part of our business and since then we’ve added lots of pieces. I remember seeing a pallet backdrop on Pinterest covered in flowers and I thought “now that is a cool wedding decoration.” I designed the backdrop and then Jacom modified the design and since then it’s been used in plenty of other weddings.

I’ve been dreaming up this blog for quite some time now trying to decide how we could best serve our clients and I think one of the issues we faced most when planning our wedding was not knowing what we were supposed to be planning or how to do it. Even if you’re having a small wedding, just having some resources is great! On our blog we’ll be sharing not only our new products when we launch them, but we’ll also be including our favorite vendors, tips and tricks to decorating including how to make your wedding look like a million bucks while staying within a budget, how to plan your order of events, etc. We’re so excited to share what we’ve learned through our experience with you so we can make your big day that much better!
