Decorations

I know I just talked about dinner and a lot of table decorations, but my first easy tip has to do with table decorations. The easiest and least expensive way to make your tables look high end is to add cloth tablecloths. Plastic tablecloths are great for clean-up, but table linens are easy clean up too. When you rent them from a rental shop like Big Day Decor table linens are only $6 a piece! The best part is that the tablecloths come laundered and all you have to do is bring them back in a laundry bag. White table linenes match everything and when you get floor length linens they hide the table underneath and are an easy way to make you feel like you’re at a fancy restaurant. Table toppers are a nice touch too and can add a little bit of color to your wedding, but if you can’t afford table toppers, another option would be some chiffon, cheese cloth, or another form of table runner. Check online or at your local craft stores to see if you can find some bulk, colored chiffon to lace on top of your tables. This is an easy and inexpensive way to add some of your wedding colors to the tables.

Table numbers and seating charts are another easy way to add class to your wedding. Table numbers don’t have to be fancy, they could be as simple as a piece of paper in a picture frame with a table number on it. Check out Pinterest for ideas because there’s tons and they don’t have to be expensive. Use your creativity and see what you can come up with. The same goes for seating charts, but they’re sure to make your guests feel like you really put in the extra effort and recognize each individual person as an important part of your day.

Besides table decorations some other big impact items for a wedding day include a wedding backdrop or arch and a guestbook table. Wedding arches don’t have to be fancy or expensive. Big Day Decor has a number of options ranging from $35-100. Some arches can be super simple such as our simple triangle arch. Adding something simple like this to highlight you and your loved one is an easy way to upscale your wedding. Add this with our tip from our first post in this series about florals is an easy way to dress up your wedding and make you stand out.

Guest book tables also don’t have to be fancy either. A few small detailed decorations can make a big difference. For example, a ring box, this honey moon jar, a jar for your pens, a card basket, etc. Make sure when you add this decorations that they are not just random decorations. You’ll want decorations that match the rest of your wedding decor, but these pieces can also be pieces that are significant to you . For example, you could add a vase from your grandmother’s wedding, your mother’s ring box, your first photo together, or something similar. A few small touches and details can add a lot of interest to your guestbook table and really make your wedding look fancy.
